How to uninstall a device using Device Manager
Sometimes we need to remove and uninstall devices from the computer running Windows Operating Systems. For example; device is malfunctioning or we need to remove an unwanted hardware device from the computer. We can uninstall a device from the Windows Operating System based computer and remove its drivers using Device Manager tool.
It is always better to physically remove the hardware device from the computer, before uninstalling the device using the Device Manager tool. After uninstalling it from the computer using device manager, the Windows Operating System may detect the device again and reinstall the device, if the device is still physically present in the computer.
Follow below steps to uninstall a device, using Device Manager tool.
Step 01 – To uninstall a device and its driver using Device Manager, open Device Manager. Right–click the device you want uninstall and then select "Properties" from the context menu, as shown in below screenshot.
Step 02 – Click and open Drivers tab. Click the Uninstall Device button as shown in the below screenshot to uninstall the device.
