How to reset Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) Customizations
You had customized Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) previously and later you want to restore it to its original state. To reset Excel Quick Access Toolbar to its original state, follow these steps.
Step 1 : Click "Customize Quick Access Toolbar" drop-down menu button located in Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) as shown below.
Step 2 - Open "Excel Options" window's Quick Access Toolbar panel by clicking the "More Commands".
"Excel Options" window can be opened by following methods also.
• Click the "File" tab in Excel Ribbon and then click "Options". Select "Quick Access Toolbar" Panel.
Or
• Right-click anywhere on the Ribbon. Click "Customize Quick Access Toolbar".
Step 3 - Click "Reset"drop-down button. There are two options available.
1) "Reset only Quick Access Toolbar"
2) "Reset all customizations"
If you select first option "Reset only Quick Access Toolbar", only Quick Access Toolbar is reset to its default state. If you select "Reset all customizations", both Excel Ribbon and the Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) are reset to their default states.
In this example, we want to reset only Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT). So, select "Reset only Quick Access Toolbar" as shown in below image.
Step 4 - Click "Yes" in the confirmation prompt as shown below.
After click "Yes", you can see that all the commands and macros added to right-side list is removed as shown in below image. The right-side list is reset to its default state.
Step 5 - Click "OK" button to reset Excel Quick Access Toolbar (QAT) customizations.
