How to change the position of Tab on Excel Ribbon
You can change the position of Tabs in Excel Ribbon, to a position comfortable to your working style. To change the position of Tabs in Excel Ribbon, follow these steps.
Step 1 - Right-click anywhere on Excel Ribbon and then select "Customize the Ribbon", as shown in below image.
"Excel Options" window is opened and its "Customize Ribbon" Panel is displayed as shown below.
Tip
"Excel Options" window to customize Excel Ribbon can be opened by following methods also.
• Click the "File" tab in Excel Ribbon and then click "Options". Select "Customize Ribbon" Panel.
Or
• Right-click anywhere on the "Quick Access Toolbar" (except on "Customize Quick Access Toolbar" drop-down button). Click "Customize Ribbon".
Step 2 - The top-most Tab in right-side list corresponds to the left-most Tab in Excel Ribbon . Refer below image.
Moving a Tab up in right-side list will result in moving the Tab to left in actual Excel Ribbon. Moving a Tab down in right-side list will result in moving the Tab to right in actual Excel Ribbon.
To change the position of a Tab in Excel Ribbon, select the Tab in right-side list. After selecting the Tab in right-side list, click "Move Down" or "Move Up" Arrow (according to your requirement) to change its position.
For example;
If you need to change the position of "OmniSecuTab (Custom)" to the first position, select "OmniSecuTab (Custom)" and use "Move Up" arrow to bring it to top, as shown in below example. After changing the position, click "OK" button.
Position of the Tab in right-side list changed to top, as you can see from below image.
You can see from below image that the position of "OmniSecuTab (Custom)" has changed to left in actual Excel Ribbon.
Similarly, you can change the position of a Tab in Excel Ribbon to the right side using "Move Down" arrow.
