Ad hoc Wireless Topology
In Wireless Ad hoc network topology, devices are connected without using any additional network infrastructure devices like a wireless Access Point (AP). In Wireless Ad hoc network topology, the devices in the network communicates exclusively over the wireless channel, without requiring any connecting network infrastructure device like a wireless Access Point (AP).
Wireless Ad hoc network topology is similar to a peer-to-peer LAN network in analogy. In Wireless Ad hoc network topology, wireless capable devices communicate directly each other without using a wireless Access Point (AP).
Wireless Ad hoc network topology is used to create a small wireless network, consisting of small number of wireless capable devices.
Ad hoc topology based networks are also known as IBSS (Independent Basic Service Set) configuration
