10GBase-SR 10 Gigabit Optical Fiber Ethernet Media Standard

The 10GBase-SR is a 10 Gbps fiber optic-based Gigabit Ethernet standard. In 10GBase-SR standard, multi-mode fiber optic medium and 850 nm lasers are used. 10GBase-SR has bandwidth up to 10.3 Gbps, but the supported distance varies according to the type of cable used.
